This market resolves based on which political party controls the U.S. House of Representatives after the 2026 U.S. House elections on November 3, 2026. Control of the House is defined as holding a majority of voting seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. If the election outcome remains unclear or disputed, the market will remain open until a Speaker of the House is officially elected. The market will then resolve in favor of the political party affiliated with the elected Speaker at the time of their election. If the Speaker does not caucus with any listed party, the market resolves to “Other.” Resolution will be based on a consensus of credible reporting and official election certifications.
