This market resolves “Yes” if, on or before December 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET, an official U.S. federal government source explicitly states that aliens/extraterrestrial life exists (intelligent or non-intelligent). Acceptable sources include official statements, press releases, reports, or transcripts published by U.S. government entities (e.g., the White House, DoD, NASA, DNI, or a U.S. Congressional record). This market resolves “No” if no such explicit confirmation occurs by the deadline, or if U.S. officials only describe sightings as “unidentified,” “unexplained,” or “under investigation” without confirming extraterrestrial life. Primary resolution source: official U.S. government publications or transcripts. If multiple announcements occur, the earliest qualifying confirmation before the deadline controls.
